Amazing, simply amazing, the colours, the expression, the dance. From Waltz to Quickstep, every step in precision. We were surprised to watch some of the younger competitors perform with even more hip and arm movements and expression than the older competitors. We were glad that we saw people from all age groups participating at this national competition.
The two dances we liked the most and felt were danced with the most enthusiasm were the Paso Doble and the Quickstep. We were all energized by the fast tempo of the music and by the hops and quick turns in these dances.
We were surprised to see so much expression from the all the dancers. The youngest dancers were especially expressive. We now understand how important it is to be expressive during our ice dance routine. It makes a huge difference on the appearance of the show.
There were many beautiful dresses on display; two of which were bought by the dancers for their free dance. We think many of us now have some great ideas for what we might like to wear for our free dances.
From what we saw on Saturday night we would consider taking Ballroom dancing lessons, during the summer. We think it's safe to say that everyone had a great time. We look forward to watching the next Ballroom dance competition.
Many thanks to Skater Development for giving us the opportunity to attend this great event.
