This past January Spencer and I competed at the 2006 Canadian Championships in Ottawa. After many practices and much anticipation, Spencer and I had clean skates in every discipline, which was an accomplishment for us. Our goal was to make the national team and not only did we achieve our goal, we surpassed it by coming in 3rd. We were thrilled with the results and we were thankful that our family and coaches could enjoy it with us as we brought home the bronze. Two years ago we competed in Ottawa at the Junior Canadians in novice dance and won our first national championship, so Ottawa is truly our lucky city. This year we finished our event relatively early in the week, giving us the opportunity to watch the other events and some of our fellow teammates from Ice Dance Elite. Our week at nationals came quickly to an end and with new memories, accomplishments, and friendships we were ready to go home. Now we're back at the rink and look forward to what next year has in store.
