Carol and Jon would like to thank Vanessa, Asher, Jean-Luc, Simon, and Acacia for the deck painting party. As you may know, Carol broke her hip on April 26th and was off her feet for five weeks. (Rumour has it that she will now use this as an excuse for the rest of her life for anything she does'nt want to do!) Jon wanted to paint the deck at the back of the house, but felt that he needed a hand as Carol was only available in a supervisory capacity (nothing unusual about that.) The kids all pitched in, and in spite of Vanessa trying to paint Jean-Luc, did a great job and finished in record time. A celebratory dinner was held at Boston Pizza, and Jon can now sit on the deck without Carol moaning(hard to imagine, i know!) that it needs painting.
