Lauren and Alvin have been skating together for just under a year. While competing at the Pre-Novice level they placed; in Summer Skate (Thornhill) they tied for 1st in compulsories and placed 3rd in freedance; later that season, they competed at Central Ontario Sectionals and won; at Easter Challenge, they placed 4th overall; and at Junior Nationals, placed 6th overall. They are very pleased with how they skated and placed this year, and are planning to move up to the Novice level for next season.

Alvin started skating when he was 9. He is currently skating at the Pre-Novice Men level, and placed well at Sectionals last year. Lauren was his first partner and, this season was the first time he had competed in the dance section of skating. Lauren has been skating since she was 5. Previous to Alvin, she skated with Troy Hockley for 3 years. They also skated at the Pre-Novice Dance level and made it to Nationals in 2004.
